Sagrada familia and other Gaudi delights

We started day 2 with the amazingly ostentatious church in progress since 1883!! They hope to have it completed by 2026 and it is a site to behold. Martin Luther would have a stroke but it was fun going up into the Nativity tower and climbing down the stairs. Luckily we booked our tickets early before the hoards of tourists arrived. We then did something we rarely do but enjoyed.. Rode around the city on the tourist bus!!! It gave us a good overview of the layout of the area, the Olympic venues, soccer stadium, and lots of Gaudi architecture.

The next day we headed up to Park Guell to explore Gaudi'scplanned community and walked along the Block of discord to see some more Gaudi houses! Finally we ended our evening with an incredible rooftop tapas dinner prepared by a young couple. They served a group of 16 of us from Austrailia, Germany, Greece, Estonia, England! After some wine we were all the best of friends! The food was amazing and it was so much fun learning about other people's travel experiences.

The photos don't do justice to the setting but you can get an idea!
